Dr. Allen Rigell is a board certified psychiatrist who has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorders, bipolar disorder, sleep problems, trauma-related stress disorders, and other mental health disorders.

He received his B.A. from Emory University and his M.D. from East Tennessee State University. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Dr. Rigell is an East Tennessee native and is thrilled to establish a practice in Knoxville. He strives to provide personalized attention and care. His intention is to use an evidence-based approach to help support his patients’ goals by optimizing their emotional health and thinking. He hopes to help all of his patients live a life of purpose and self worth.

Dr. Rigell’s treatment approach includes medication management, supportive therapy, motivational therapy, psychoeducation, and brief psychodynamic therapy.

Dr. Rigell lives with his wife in the Knoxville area. He enjoys music, baseball, and spending time with his family.
